Our Inspector plays an active role as a building contractor in the Niagara Region, Building all types of structures ranging from 3500sqft Utility buildings to million dollar custom homes. Along with a history of new builds comes the multiple renovation projects James has completed, Both as a hands on contractor as well as a project manager. Yes, many claim to have 10, 20.. 30 years of building experience behind them.. How about hiring Schedule A Inspections and trust in an inspector who is right at the front line of all current and new building practices. Just a thought!
Along side the day job working as a partner in an ever growing New Homes and Custom Renovations Business, James Continues to Play an active role in the Home Inspection Sector. Completing Niagara College’s Home Inspector Program along with many other related courses listed below. James is also a member of the OAHI (Ontario Association of Home Inspectors) and continues to grow with this associations.
James is keen to do the work and help discover and detect problems that can be found throughout the home inspection. He brings the tools with him that he feels every home inspection deserves. All his findings are documented and recorded in a very proficient digital reporting software system and returned to the client. His bag of tricks include the Thermal Infrared camera, Moisture meters, gas detectors, GFCI testers, etc.. and a very well trained eye!
With the added advantage of completing most of his Renovation projects in the Old Town of Niagara on the lake, James has seen and worked his way through all types of older generation building techniques such as knob&tube electrical and asbestos insulation. This has helped broaden his experience in detecting and finding such items. Given today’s new standards and regulations for New Home Building in Ontario and their required Warranty programs such as TARION, James has completed the New Home Construction Inspector program and can help guide you through all the stages related to the New Home Warranty Program. As a New Home builder himself you can feel confident knowing James knows what to look for during your PDI (Pre- Delivery Inspection).
